Movie Night showing "Pride"

  • Common Root 211 North 14th Street Lincoln, NE, 68508 United States (map)

This 2014 Film is based on events that took place during the 1984 National Union of Mineworkers strike, when Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was attempting to follow in Ronald Reagan’s footsteps and break the union. A London based group of Gays and Lesbians raise money to support the miners. Their interaction and uneasy alliance with a Union Chapter in Wales forms the basis of this interesting and often heartwarming film.

Showing in the Narnia Room on the 2nd floor of the Foundry. As always popcorn will be provided, feel free to bring your dinner or any other snacks and drinks you’d like to enjoy and maybe share.
